Living Artworks is a private company owned and run by the artist, founder and CEO, Sarah Shick.

She is an oil painter and works out of her private studio in her own home located in eastern Tennessee. Her work is primary centered around painting landscapes and animals inspired by her hometown in eastern Tennessee as well as her traveling experiences.

In Sarah's artworks, she uses bright, vivid colors, and slathered impasto to bring a surrealist (or dreamlike) and colorful quality to her pieces. Throughout this alla prima style of painting, her artworks display a contemporary statement on the natural and "living" aspect of the real world. Her emphasis on "living" art is seen through the thick layers of paint as they provide "actual" texture in her works - making them appear to be alive. She also adds this element of life-like imagery to her oil pastel animal pieces.

Aside from her full-time job as an artist, Sarah also teaches full time, enjoys traveling with her husband, works alongside her husband, reading books in her library, and loving on her dog.
